An MFA thesis and Advanced Game Project, is expanding its team. Runesinger is a videogame that practices elements of the Korean language through play. We are recruiting an artist and a programmer.
Artist
Design, model or animate characters and objects.
Requirements:
- Proficient 3D modeler or animator (Maya, 3DS Max, or Blender).
- Experience with a posing skeleton.
- An eye for composition and cartoon animation. As seen in the 3D storyboards, no advanced modeling or animation experience necessary.
- Attention to naming conventions and version control of assets.
Programmer
Design and implement simulation, user interface, or look and feel.
Requirements:
- Proficient programmer or scripter (C++, Java, Python, or Ruby).
- Passion for building games.
- Able to program tutorials for Python-Ogre. This game combines several engines, including Python-OGRE, CEGUI, OgreNewt, and OpenAL. Familiarity with any one of these is a plus.
- Attention to unit testing and code readability.
Benefits
You will receive game credits, a portfolio game, food, contacts, and professional-quality experience. If you are a USC student, you will receive 6 credits in CTIN 491, CSCI 491 or CSCI 529. Your work will be submitted to Independent Games Festival at GDC, Serious Games Summit, and other venues.
Our team
Our team has design credits on six published games in the US and Korea. Our advisors have design and writing credits on hit videogames, educational games, movies, and television series. Our team practices professional game design and development. Our team practices rapid prototyping, runtime programming, agile software development, and test-driven DESIGN.
